The inspiration behind today’s post comes from my husband. It’s been over 4 years since I posted on here. SO MUCH life has happened since then. So much healing, but also so much knowledge has been gained in the understanding of health. So much so, I’ve almost been paralyzed to start writing again. Between kids, work, and home, I’ve not been sure where I’ll get the time to write. I write best, ironically, when I’m not writing at all. Rather, in bed, before I go to sleep. That is when my mind starts spinning. That is when I come up with the best content. But alas, here I am, trying to write my first post in over 4 years, with my special-needs son screaming for my attention (maybe I’ll share more on that later?), my 7 month old trying to eat a stick she found in the yard, and my toddler is, well, I’m not sure where…
My husband called me a great come-back story. And It’s true. I’ve healed so much that you’d never guess how my life was when I started Beyond the Bite. But my core understanding of health and healing has also dramatically shifted. This blog began centered around food as a means of healing. While food certainly has its place, I’ve come to learn that light is in fact, the most powerful tool in healing and health.
That is all I will leave you with today. There is a lot to unpack. Many of you may know what I’m referring too, others may be left scratching their heads. So more on that later. In the meantime, here I am saying hi, typo-s and all. Now it’s time to go pick up some Magna-tiles, oh yeah, and find that up-to-no-good toddler of mine.
Psalm 61:2 “From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
I can’t wait for more!!!
